As the largest global courier delivery service, UPS delivers 20 million packages every day. So, they are constantly looking for great employees to help with everything from package delivery and management to IT and sales/marketing. So they were eager to partner with us and get some of our highly motivated students on their way to well-paying jobs with endless possibilities for growth.

We made sure eligible students (over age 18) were ready for their interviews with UPS hiring managers by holding application support workshops and practice interviews. Students got a first-hand look at what it would be to work at UPS, with tours of nearby hubs and glimpse of the short- and long-term opportunities.

So far with this new partnership, 11 students in Los Angeles have been hired as package handlers, driver’s assistants or part-time supervisor – all earning well above minimum wage. And we’re expanding the program throughout the state.

UPS is known for great pay and benefits, and at many UPS locations, part-time employees are eligible to receive up to $25,000 in tuition assistance through the company’s Earn and Learn program.
